Come dovreste sapere, a causa del Covid-19, in questi giorni non si tiene il Comic-Con International di San Diego nella sua tradizionale forma live, bensì il Comic-Con@Home, una serie di iniziative online che, in ambito fumettistico, coinvolgono editori e autori. Anche la prestigiosa premiazione degli Eisner Award si è fatta digitale, e nella notte italiana – tramite un video pre-registrato – sono stati annunciati i vincitori dall’attore Phil Lamarr.

Grande successo per Laura Dean continua a lasciarmi (First Second, Miglior pubblicazione per ragazzi), la graphic novel di Mariko Tamaki (Miglior scrittrice, anche per Harley Quinn: Breaking Glass e Archie) e Rosemary Valero-O’Connell (Miglior artista) edita in Italia da BAO Publishing.

Al di là dei premi personali alla Tamaki e al leggendario colorista Dave Stewart, restano a bocca asciutta Marvel e DC Comics, mentre risalgono le quotazioni della Dark Horse, che tra autori e opere si vedrà recapitare ben cinque statuette. Segue la Image Comics con quattro (ma condividendo Stewart).
